Samuel Jonathan Smith is our Founder and Managing Director. At 22 years of age Samuel has a staggering seven years of commercial experience in the web and design industry (including five years with a popular hosting and internet marketing company) and a diploma in Visual Communication. Along with an active and dynamic role within the company, Samuel is also studying for a degree in Computer Science at the University of Lincoln.

How it all began... Samuel has always had a passionate interest for computers and the arts. He has been creating websites since before he can remember and hasn't looked back. At the age of sixteen Samuel started trading for the first time as Host4Leicester, providing hosting and design services for the local area. He decided that although business was good, the best way to expand his knowledge and skills would be to join an existing company. In 2004 Samuel was employed as a web designer and trainee SEO for Easy Internet. During his time with the company Samuel became a senior member of the team and worked directly with the owners to develop new innovative services. In 2008 Samuel decided to pursue his education further, but continued to work remotely for the company on an advisory level. In 2009 Samuel resigned his role in order to concentrate on his own business ventures and personal development.

Samuel has an active role at Specific Gravity and has input in every project supported by our experienced and vibrant team. Samuel is backed by a small team of talented young designers and illustrators, marketing specialists and experienced web technicians. Our team work remotely from their own homes and collaborate online, to keep everything running like clockwork we have frequent face to face meetings and team building activities.
