Our History
Specific Gravity started life on the 31st of January 2009 with the concept of providing customer focused creative services for print and web. During the initial launch we received very positive feedback about our services and gradually built up a small, and ever expanding customer base. On the 1st of September 2009 we started trading as Specific Gravity Limited, and also launched our sister hosting brand WebFloat. Today we serve our customers via an array of sub-brands designed to better explain our services and provide customers with the highest quality service.
What is "Specific Gravity"? Specific Gravity is a scientific term which means the density of an object or substance relative to the density of water. Basically everyone has their own Specific Gravity - because everyone is different. We tailor our services to our customers specific requirements in order to provide the best level of service and produce the best solutions for their needs. In short we help our customers find their Specific Gravity - which we like to think of as the unique solution that works best for them.
Our Location
Specific Gravity Ltd is based throughout the Midlands UK including Lincoln, Leicester, Nottingham and Birmingham. Thanks to the magic of social computing we have cut our costs considerably by not having a central studio. Our team work remotely from home and collaborate online, but to keep everything running like clockwork we have frequent face to face meetings and team building activities. Whilst we perform most of our client contact via phone or email, should you wish to meet face to face we are happy to visit you or arrange a suitable venue.
